Full Job Description

Your role: As an L&D Business Partner, you will be responsible for proactively partnering with all areas of the business, to ensure that all departments receive the learning and development interventions that they need to achieve their strategic goals. Key relationships include working strategically with the HR Directors to prioritise and plan learning interventions to support the delivery of business goals.

Your team: We are the Learning & Talent Development team - a team that creates and delivers innovative learning experiences for the people at News. We are committed to creating learning initiatives that support the business in achieving its goals, developing talent, and maximising individual, team, and company performance. This is a fast-paced department where no two days will be the same.

Day to day you will:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to respond to business learning needs.

  • Ensure the effective delivery of learning interventions.

  • Support the digital upskilling and transformation at News UK.

  • Curate and design in-house content.

  • Implement external best practice to create creative and innovative training solutions.

  • Ensure D&I is at the heart of all our learning interventions.

  • Workshop, team day and learning delivery as needed.

  • Continuously evaluate, adapt and develop programs to keep them fresh and relevant.

  • Work with the L&D team to deliver one consistent and impactful message, contributing to the L&D excellence brand.

    A passion for L&D.

  • An in-depth knowledge and experience in designing and delivering learning interventions that underpin behavioural and cultural change.

  • A commercial mindset, demonstrating an ability to deliver programs that meet business needs.

  • A good understanding of learning theories and how these translate into learning solutions including the effective use of learning technologies.

  • Confidence, resilience and enthusiasm.

  • An influential communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
