Dawley Brook Primary School are looking for a new member of our team to support children with EHCPs within classroom We would like to find a motivated and independent person who is able to work on their own initiative but would still work alongside our amazing SENDCo, SEND HLTA and our teaching team of staff., This post is for a L2 SEND Teaching Assistant (30 hours per week, term time only) to provide One to One Support to a Year 3 Class Learner and is a 12 month fixed term contract until December 2025 in the first instance but there may be the opportunity to continue as the child's school journey progresses.
We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants who have skills and knowledge of supporting learners with SEND in the classroom and are happy to commit to their development. Proficiency in Makaton is required. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an extended SEND team within our inclusive mainstream school., We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore, the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All applicants must be able to provide documentation to prove their right to work in the UK. Effective from September 2022, KCSIE states as part of the shortlisting process schools and colleges should consider carrying out on-line searches, as part of the due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This is to determine suitability to work with children and keep them safe. All shortlisted candidates are now subject to an on-line check and if there is anything concerning, then the shortlisted candidate will be asked to comment on it either prior to or at interview.
