Full Job Description
You'll work alongside three Technicians, who are supporting laboratory operations. You will belong to our business department Lab and Production Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories globally, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.,
- Work in a team to organise support for scientists and make sure they have all they need, to perform their daily tasks (consumables, solvents, equipment, PPE).
- Maintain, sort out and replenish laboratory inventories.
- Laboratory housekeeping - glassware wash and dry, waste management and cleaning activities, decontamination of laboratory equipment.
- Act as Point of Contact for customers, actively engaging with them on a regular basis to understand their business requirements, manage calendars, and respond to emails.
Avantor is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Lab Technician to join the team based in Macclesfield. In this role, you'll take ownership of laboratory support with day-to-day responsibilities. Previous experience in a scientific or laboratory environment, and/or a scientific degree is not a requirement for this role! We'll consider applicants from other industries as full training is provided. Maybe you're working in logistics, hospitality or retail but have an interest in science, this could be your opportunity to transition your career into the laboratory world!, Education: GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) and an interest in science., - Good in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
