Laboratory Quality Technician

We are seeking a Laboratory Quality Technician to join our growing team, to assist in all aspects of quality assurance testing and development in relation to the manufacturing of our products. You will be responsible for ensuring daily retrieval of samples from production, logistics and effluent areas, conducting analytical tests on raw materials, finished goods and effluent waste, calibration of test equipment and general housekeeping of laboratory. Your Responsibilities

• Retrieval of samples
• Conducting of analytic tests
• Prepare and standardise solutions needed to conduct tests
• Prepare and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Accurately record all results and data for analysis and compliance with ISO and company requirements
• Report out of specification results to appropriate department to take remedial action and re-analyse
• Practice a clean as you go policy to maintain laboratory hygiene
  
  Previous experience working in a laboratory (preferred)
• GCSE level in Chemistry
• Strong IT skills
• Good teamwork, but also have the ability to work alone
• Strong organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
• Ability to calculate figures encompassing proportions, percentages, ratios, and volume
