Full Job Description

Working within Eurofins Food Testing registration area, the purpose of this role is to register all microbiology samples for analysis in a timely and accurate manner, and transfer to the laboratory as appropriate., To accurately and rapidly register samples/equipment for analysis and dispatch samples to the relevant business location.
To liaise with couriers and customers and Eurofins drivers to enable timely collection and dispatch of work to external and internal facilities.
To follow standard operating procedures and safe working practice to ensure the safety of self and colleagues.
To ensure that all equipment is kept within recommended limits for calibration and maintenance in order to adhere to quality targets.
Have a clean as you work mentality.
Ensuring that any relevant sample logs are kept up to date.
Responsible for correct temperature storage of samples on receipt and prior to processing.
Responsible for coding and logging of samples onto the in house IT System (FGS).
A flexible approach to work will be required to help assist other departments as and when. required.
Responsible for dispatching Adhoc samples and consumables to clients.
Will be required to answer incoming calls and make out-going calls to follow up on customers and must maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
High level of communication between Sample registration team and other microbiology departments to ensure each sample is prepped correctly.
Vigilance is required when looking for any sub-sample to retest.
Keep up to date with sample storage and discards.

5 or more GCSE's, or equivalent.
Experience in working in part of a team.
Good origination and time management.
Good communication skills.
Able to self-motivate.

This is a full time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. No laboratory experience required, full training will be given.
