Land Charges Officer

We have an exciting vacancy for a Land Charges Officer. The role involves ensuring the delivery of an efficient provision of the Local Land Charges service, including leading on the Land Registry Land Charges Migration Project and supervising the Legal and Land Charges Assistant. You will lead on and manage the delivery of the local Land Charges service, assist with the delivery of certain legal functions and manage business support to the Commercial Team. The Local Land Charges section is run within Legal Services and is committed to providing a quality service which is effective, efficient and responsive. The main focus of the section is to deal with requests for searches of the Local Land Charges Register, which is kept updated by the section. Entries on the Register are generally financial charges or restrictions on the use of land which have generally been imposed by public authorities under statutory powers. The purpose is to alert purchasers to their existence. Searches can also request information on such matters such as proposals regarding land in the local area and roads.
