Full Job Description

Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. The Councils are committed to being a customer driven organisation, with our customers at the heart of everything we do; focused on improving delivery services that make a difference to the community that we serve., We are looking to recruit a Legal Support Officer to support the Senior Land Charges Officer in providing and maintaining the Local Land Charges Register. To deal with debt recovery cases to include the preparation of court documents and processes for enforcement action. To support Solicitors with routine correspondence and court documents in both Civil and Criminal Litigation matters and provide general admin support to the legal and procurement team. The role is full-time Monday to Friday, although part-time will be considered. The Council is committed to providing a flexible working environment. The post holder will be required to work with colleagues in both the legal and procurement team and liaise with other teams where instructions are required or information needed. The post holder will be required to liaise with agencies outside of the Local Authority such as the Land Registry, criminal and civil court offices and external Solicitors.

We are looking for someone with a working knowledge of legal process or experience in process and procedure based work with excellent communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet statutory timelines.
