Full Job Description

As a Landside Marshal at London Stansted Airport, you will ensure the smooth operation of the Meet & Greet (M&G) arrivals and returns yard, including the welcoming and marshalling of arriving passengers into arrival lanes, the guidance of M&G drivers into return spaces, providing passengers with all required information for a safe and smooth onward journey, whilst ensuring the yard / equipment is maintained to a professional standard. You will be responsible for flow management of the Express Set Down (ESD) on the Terminal Forecourt to reduce congestion and maintain the flow of traffic whilst providing directional information to passengers to both inner and outer lanes of terminal forecourt. You will ensure proper control and safe access for the general public, maintain continuous vigilance and escalate any concerns through the appropriate channels. Accountabilities :

  • Monitor the operation of automatic entry and exit barriers in the M&G yard area, report any issues to the appropriate channels.
  • Operate the car park barrier system at M&G entrance (VCC), checking customer paperwork where ANPR not recognized, providing customers with lane information cards to hand in at reception.
  • Ensure customers and returning drivers are parking in the correct spaces to allow for maximum capacity whilst adhering to Health and Safety standards.
  • Conduct yard patrols as required to ensure smooth operational flow
  • Assist with removal (skating) of incorrectly parked vehicles using GoJacks (training provided)
  • Marshalling ESD (Express Set Down) to ensure a smooth flow of traffic is maintained whilst reporting abandoned vehicles, left luggage or any security concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Marshalling other car parks when required. To be a multi-skilled team member able to deliver all aspects of the car park operations and enabling our customers to receive world class service.

    Permanent
  • Full Time - 12 hour shifts, (0600 1800, 1800 0600). Rotates over 10 weeks, with 2 flexi shifts.
  • Salary - £23,433 rising to £25,522 following a successful 3 month qualifying period
  • Additional shift pay allowance of 17.5%
