We are recruiting for a Laundry Team Leader who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
The Laundry team leader will be the first point of contact which will require high visibility to all service users and the staff/teams that they lead. The post holders main duties will be to assist the Laundry Management team in the day to day operational managing of the Laundry & Linen Services function, whilst maintaining a high quality of Service to MFT and its external clients., Your primary responsibility/duty is to lead all aspects of the daily operations of the Laundry & Linen Services, by providing an excellent customer focused service, ensuring that the tasks/duties are completed in a professional and timely fashion.

This includes the promotion of flexible working opportunities across the Trust., To be responsible for ensuring that staff are trained in the correct use of all laundry processing equipment and that all bedding and linen is processed in accordance with its requirements and in line with relevant legislation and HTM 01-04.
To lead the Laundry staff, to include but not exclusive: appraisals, attendance, booking of bank staff, sickness / absence records through the use of the Trust Policies, SOPs and databases.
To assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels by co-ordinating and producing staff duties/rosters, ensuring that any staff absence is covered.
To monitor the staff performance, ensuring laundering standards are maintained.
