About the opportunity:

We are Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.

As a result of this increasing demand for our services we are looking for an Architectural Lead to join our LSS1 team in Warrington.

LSS1 is about to restart from being in a 'pause' position and will be in a period of ramping back up with resources, initially focusing on ensuring the project is ready for the Outline Business Case gate before progressing onto Preliminary Design activities. You will also take the role of Space Manager / Layout Leader on the project.

Some of your responsibilities

  • Ensure the architectural 3D model is updated

  • Review the layout and ensure it is optimised in advance of progressing into Preliminary Design.

  • Day-to-day management of architectural resources, planning and delivery of work.

  • Identify and specify architectural resource requirements and work with the Civil, Structural & Architectural Responsible Engineer (CS&A RE)

  • As Space Manager / Layout Leader for the project, you will be responsible for developing a process to ensure the layout development is coordinated across the disciplines and any changes are assessed before being implemented.

  • Lead regular model reviews / space management meetings.

  • Lead the architectural team to develop the 3D model and produce 2D AutoCAD GA and detail drawings from the model and specifications as design progresses through Preliminary and Detailed Design.

  • Here's what you'll need:
  • Fully qualified architect, (architectural technologist meeting the requirements would be considered)

  • Experienced in using Revit and AutoCAD for 2D.

  • Have experience in layout development, statutory Planning and Building Regulations and architectural detailing and specifying (cladding, roofing, finishes, partitions, stairs, modular builds).

  • Experience leading teams, chairing meetings, managing stakeholders or a desire to expand into this area.
