Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity as a Lead Pharmacist has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the established clinical pharmacy team on a 6 month fixed term contract supporting clinical trials patients across Mid and South Essex. You, primarily based at the Broomfield Hospital site, will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, working to provide excellent care to clinical trial and oncology & haematology patients throughout the Trust. Some cross-site working will be required.   • To work under the direction of the Principal Pharmacist for Clinical Trials to ensure pharmacy are in a position to support the Research & Development Strategy.
  • To work with the clinical trials and oncology teams to enable streamlined set-up of clinical trials across all specialities.
  • To clinically screen oncology and haematology prescriptions.
  • To clinically screen and check clinical trial prescriptions.
  • To ensure Medicines Management Standards are met within the Clinical trials and Oncology and Haematology Services.
  • To work in accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice.
  • To be actively involved in the clinical governance aspects of the pharmaceutical service.
