Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and experienced clinical pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. You will effectively lead a team of highly specialist pharmacy staff to deliver patient-centred pharmaceutical care to the medical patients across the Royal London Hospital.
The postholder will be expected to lead the clinical pharmacy service to the Emergency Department (ED), Acute Medical wards, General Medical wards and Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in providing responsible, safe and cost-effective prescribing within the networks to:
+ Optimise patient outcomes
+ Minimise adverse reactions
+ Improve medicines safety
The postholder will help to deliver the broader Medicines Optimisation and Governance Strategy across the Royal London Hospital and other Barts Health Hospitals. These outcomes will be achieved primarily through leadership of clinical staff, and the publication and implementation of guidelines and procedures to encourage best practice.
We are dedicated to being an outstanding place to work and will work with you to get the best experience., The post holder will support the Associate Director of Pharmacy and Deputy Head of Pharmacy at RLH & MEH and Highly Specialist Pharmacists within the team to manage the professional, clinical, and technical input of pharmacy into the areas listed above at the Royal London Hospital and provide professional support for the pharmacy medicine teams across all the Barts Health Hospital sites.
The post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and oversee clinical pharmacy service and medicines use within the following areas:
+ Emergency Department (including Same Day Emergency Care)
+ Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS)
+ Acute Medical Wards
+ General Medical Wards
