Full Job Description

Located at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, this role will be instrumental in leading the development of our U16 age group (Youth Development Phase) to ensure that the coaching and management of the U16 age group are fully aligned with the Girls High Performance Plan. You will need to collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team and the U21s Head Coach to facilitate a seamless progression for players as they advance through our Academy pathway. You will play a fundamental role in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of our programme while furthering their growth and ensuring they receive comprehensive support at each stage of their development.

You will be responsible in leading the development and implementation of the Day Release Programme, which involves delivering targeted coaching sessions for individuals and small groups, ensuring tailored and effective coaching. You will also lead in organising and facilitating regular coaching and multidisciplinary team meetings to foster collaboration and alignment.

This comprehensive approach will ensure that the Day Release Programme supports players' growth and development effectively.

  • Minimum UEFA B Licence


  • FA Youth Award Level 1 and 2


  • FA Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) qualification


  • FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate


  • You should have prior experience of coaching and working with young players within a football environment and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team as well as proven experience in planning, delivering and monitoring football programmes.

    Knowledge of the female player pathway and grassroots football in and around Birmingham and a UEFA A Licence (or working towards) would be beneficial.
