  • Develop, maintain and improve credit risk strategies to allow us to make high quality decisions for our customers driven by data.
  • Provide analyses to run credit portfolios against agreed performance indicators.
  • Support growth in the business through the delivery of initiatives, delivering analytics to enable the design and roll-out of new lending products or enhancing existing product features.
  • Lead analytical projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Formulate and clearly communicate conclusions and proposals, collaborating with teams to make decisions.
  • Identify solutions to emerging risk issues, changing priorities, project completion issues and areas of conflict.
  • Challenge established policy and procedures, where appropriate and suggest alternatives.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and documentary requirements.

  • Coach and support the Junior members of the team.

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Previous experience in a relevant role, i.e. Credit, Risk Analytics or an Analysis based role.
  • Experience of reviewing Credit Risk Strategies is essential.
  • Experience of analytical capabilities using relevant software packages to analyse data is needed, i.e. SAS/SQL/VBA.
  • Proven experience of successful project management working across teams to deliver is essential.
  • An ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently to a diverse audience.
  • Awareness of the regulations that apply to lending are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working in an environment supporting and coaching others is essential.
