Carnival UK is in search of a Lead Crew Planning Consultant who is crucial in supporting our People direction and in nurturing a small high-performing team., This role sits within Fleet People Operations, who partner with our Cunard and P&O Cruises fleet to provide the right people at the right time. Through planning and coordination, our teams work collaboratively, supporting colleagues through their employee life cycle of recruitment, on boarding, rotations, logistics, training, policy compliance and more. The Lead Crew Planning Consultant is responsible for Crew Planning in their designated team area, ensuring all vessels are properly resourced as per required complement levels, with appropriately qualified and experienced crew members. Able to effectively respond to change - this will include both planned and unplanned scheduling. Managing a small team, this role will provide leadership and support to team members, ensuring delivery of daily operational activity to the required standard. Through performance management and professional development, coaching others to create an environment where people do their best work and where crew members have the best experience.,

  • Team Management: providing ongoing performance management, development opportunities & support to your team whilst ensuring delivery of daily operational activity. Identifying areas of improvement and training. Reporting to the Crew Planning Manager and deputising in their absence as required.
  • Stakeholder relations: building and maintain key relationships through key Stakeholders (both ship and shore) and Global Talent Partners, as well as ensuring optimum business outcomes with effective collaboration and challenge. Working closely with colleagues from Resourcing and Compliance teams.
  • Accountability: managing utilisation, cost control, onboard team strength, Table of personnel (TOP) adherence. Ensuring relevant risks are escalated timely to the Crew Planning Manager and stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance - to influence what success looks like and ensure continuity of best practise across your areas of responsibility and direct reports.

    Proven experience of scheduling and workforce planning
  • Effective stakeholder management - able to influence and manage a variety of stakeholders
  • Familiarity with using data to make performance-based decisions and support team delivery.
  • Management experience desirable.
  • Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as aCUK09 offered as a full-time position, on a permanentbasis, we offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
