Full Job Description

The Department has a new Diagnostic Assessment Centre, which has expanded our CT service into a brand new building close to the current hospital. We also have a new Community diagnostic centre opening in April next year and we are looking to recruit further senior staff members to support safe patient care at a remote site.

We undertake all general CT work within our 3 CT scanners providing support to A&E, wards and out-patient imaging.

We are looking for someone who is motivated to ensure that each patient receives a good and safe experience from an understanding and friendly face. The team work hard to achieve this and patients are at the centre of all of our plans.

The successful candidate will be passionate and have extensive knowledge and experience of CT. They will have further qualifications in CT imaging or be willing to work towards one. They will be someone with excellent communication skills, drive and enthusiasm to lead this service forward.

This role will be mainly clinical and supervisory with the expectation that the candidate will provide the team with training support and strong leadership. There will be an expectation that the lead will deputise in the absence of the Head of CT/MR also. Radiographers currently rotate in both CT and MR 7 days a week and we have radiography students , both traditional route and apprentices.
