Full Job Description

  • Lead Criteria - Significant experience of developing and supporting Azure cloud-based applications., As a Lead DevOps Engineer you will lead our team of talented Azure specialist DevOps engineers.
  • We're hiring you because we need your skills, and experience. You'll be a respected expert voice in DWP on DevOps and Azure. You enable our teams to develop, deliver and support innovative automation solutions that allow us to offer efficient, stable and consistent services to our users You will be setting and driving the strategy and direction of development, and actively collaborating with other digital teams in DWP and across government. You'll work with senior stakeholders and share best practices with the wider DWP Digital community, as well as utilising your own skills & experience to coach and guide the team to deliver the most effective solutions.

  • Significant knowledge of writing and maintaining Infrastructure, and Configuration as Code
  • Significant experience of using Unix/Linux/Windows in a support and/or development environment including scripting languages
  • Significant experience of working in a DevOps environment - Continuous Integration & Deployment, Delivery methods and techniques, including agile scrum experience
  • Significant knowledge of implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience of supporting, guiding, and developing Engineers across multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment.

    Pay up to £89,995, plus 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid working, flexible hours, and great work life balance., Pay: We offer competitive pay of £72,664 to £89,995, based on your skills and capability.
