Full Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Document Controller to join the Project team in the North-East to manage and supervise the site document control processes. Requirements To manage and supervise the document control processes

  • To write procedure for mark-up and as-built management
  • To ensure that all Project correspondence and technical documents, produced internally or by contractors, subcontractors, are correctly classified and handled in accordance with document control procedures and requirements.
  • To monitor and request required quality in information and metadata
  • To manage the document control team on site, Initially, this position will be remote with travel to our Milton Keynes and London offices as and when required. Once the project goes to site, the role will be based in Teesside, at the heart of the construction site so mobility required.
  • To organise the Project document management process for mark-up, as built and final documentation to Operations.
  • To put in place reporting for mark-up/as built follow-up production
  • To train document control team on site to Ten EDMS and doc control work processes
  • To ensure training for people using EDMS on site
  • To ensure documents produced are checked in accordance with project standards regarding numbering, graphic charts, symbology, metadata and all other aspects related to document quality.
  • To check the progress of document production, submission dates (actual/planned and % completed)
  • To ensure correct preparation and handover of project documentation to Operations and that all documents are archived and traceable.
  • To ensure that the graphical models (2D/3D models) supplied follow project standards and contain correct level of metadata.

    Relevant educational level and significant relevant experience as Lead DCC
  • Knowledge of EDMS and experience in oil & gas engineering and construction
  • Familiar with DCC Management systems
  • Rigorous, autonomous, good communication skills
  • Fluent in English Language
