Full Job Description

As a Document Controller or Lead Document Controller at VVB, you will support project operations by managing documentation and ensuring it is processed, tracked, and distributed accurately. For lead roles, you will also mentor team members and help improve document control processes across projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project documentation using established procedures and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Oversee submissions and approvals through electronic document management systems (EDMS).
  • Maintain registers for submissions, transmittals, and approvals, ensuring timely distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on document control systems and best practices.
  • Share lessons learned and help define key performance indicators (KPIs) for document control processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders on document-related matters., This roles are based in either Acton or Birmingham, with occasional travel to other sites and offices as needed.

  • Experience: Prior experience in document control, ideally on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy and organisational skills, even under pressure.
  • Collaboration: A team player who supports colleagues and shares knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with document management systems like Asite or SharePoint.
  • Professionalism: Flexibility, a methodical approach, and the ability to represent VVB Engineering to clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • For lead roles, the ability to mentor and lead document control discussions is essential. What We Offer
