THE SCHOOL

· Independent special school based in Westbury, first opened in 2009

· 32 place school for pupils aged 11-16

THE JOB:

· Lead subject teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge and skills and make good progress in their learning

· Work with the Head Teacher and Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points

· Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely intervention

THE PERSON:

· Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred but other recognised teaching qualification considered

· Proven experience of English teaching to secondary class/group

· Experience within an SEN setting

· Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.

· Driving licence and use of own car as may be required to transport pupils

SALARY:

Salary £25,410 - £39,300 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.

Full-time | Monday to Friday 8.45am and 4.45pm.
