Role purpose The Vodafone Executive Search (VES) team is dedicated to managing executive hiring (SLT and E band roles) across Vodafone. We believe in the pivotal role that executive leadership holds in driving Vodafone's success, values and purpose. We collaborate to appoint internal or external leaders who drive our transformation to become the connectivity and digital champion, winning customers' trust every day. By joining the Vodafone executive search team, you will play an active role in creating the future of Vodafone. This is one of three Lead Executive Recruiter roles, each of which partner different functions. As Lead Exec Recruiter Corporate Commercial & VBU you will be the main point of contact and partner for Executive hiring needs for the senior stakeholders in Consumer and Vodafone business (whether these are roles you are personally on leading on the search for or not). This role is also responsible for uncovering/implementing strategies to anticipate and pipeline future talent needs. You will directly line manage a small team of highly skilled Internal Executive Recruiters and Researchers. You will also have hands-on Executive Recruiter responsibilities. You will also personally lead on a number of live searches - managing the end-to-end recruitment process, driving external hires to completion and managing executive level stakeholder relationships. You will collaborate with highly experienced Executive Recruiters and Knowledge Analysts, to provide a best-in-class hiring process (from passive market research right through to the placement of the next generation of leadership at Vodafone). You will advise, and guide senior leaders on external talent, search strategies, diversity, and remuneration.What you'll do

  • Act as the main point of contact/business partner for Executive hiring needs for all senior stakeholders across the areas you partner (CBU and VBU) - not just for the Executive Searches that you are leading on, but also for those other team members are leading on. Presenting progress/ update reports (quantitative and qualitative data) to key Executive/senior leadership team stakeholders and HR stakeholders. Acting as a key escalation point on any searches for their area. Uncovering/implementing strategies to anticipate and pipeline future talent needs.
  • Lead and inspire a highly experienced team of Executive Researchers to deliver end-to-end senior leadership opportunities across Commercial and Vodafone Business.
  • Lead briefings with senior stakeholders; capturing detailed business role requirements, ensuring that all angles and avenues are covered to have the basis to execute research.
  • In partnership with Executive Researchers, interpret and turn briefs into search strategies, using the internal ATS, LinkedIn, internal referrals and all publicly available resources to find talent.
  • Following initial Researcher screening, (as appropriate) lead on candidate engagement and relationship management, effectively representing Vodafone's vision and values, and ensuring robust assessment processes.
  • Manage candidates through to offer and acceptance, liaising directly with Reward and leading on offer negotiation.
  • Share robust and clear psychometric assessment with candidates following the interview process.
  • Lead interactions on an individual search basis with external hybrid suppliers.
  • Track progress and record data with a view to creating an overarching database and talent pools.
  • Present progress/ update reports to stakeholders in both qualitative and quantitative reporting.
  • Partner closely with Researchers, Knowledge Analysts and Internal Data Management specialists in the VES team on wider pipelining/succession projects.
  • Who you are
  • Strong executive search experience is essential.
  • Executive search experience for CBU/VBU roles is desirable.
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in learning complex roles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with proven experience in acting as an executive talent advisor to senior leaders up to ExCo level. Articulate and engaging style to engage with executive level stakeholders and HR leaders. Articulate and engaging style to engage with executive level candidates, stakeholders, and HR leaders.
  • Experience in prioritising D&I and achieving associated targets.
  • Attention to detail and presentation skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to act with discretion regarding sensitive information and confidential intellectual property.
  • Can manage ambiguity and able to operate effectively with simplicity.
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to work in a structured manner.
  • Cultural adaptability and the ability to effectively work cross-borders.

  • Yearly bonus: 20%

  • Maternity leave: 52 weeks: the first 13 weeks are fully paid, followed by 26 weeks of half pay
