Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our Hepatology Team. For 3 days a week you will be providing expert pharmaceutical advice and support to the Bristol and Severn Hepatitis C Operational Delivery Network (ODN) to work towards the ambition of eradicating Hepatitis C. For 2 days a week you will be providing and supporting pharmaceutical care to our in-patient liver unit and hepatology team. There is the opportunity for flexible home working for some of this role., Your day to day duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Working closely within the Hepatitis C MDT to provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to the team

  • Working in clinics reviewing and prescribing for this patient group

  • Providing support to outreach partners within the ODN

  • To engage with and support national initiatives for Hepatitis C

  • To work with the in-patient liver unit providing on ward support and medicines guidance

  • You will be expected to cover 7 1/2 hours a day Monday to Friday. The exact daily hours worked will be determined according to service need but is likely to be between 8am and 6pm.

  • As a member of the Pharmacy team you will also work in our BRI dispensary (as overtime), on a rota basis, during Mon-Fri 5-6pm

  • Our Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday shifts are part of normal contracted hours with commensurate 'off-duty days', on a rota basis of roughly one weekend day every 6 weeks., of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
