Full Job Description

Come and join JLR Join JLR's Charging Group as the Lead HV Functional Safety Validation Engineer, where you'll ensure the functional safety of cutting-edge charging systems across all our products. As part of the Charging System Validation & Verification team, you'll review safety requirements, develop test cases, and validate designs to ensure exceptional product quality. You will work alongside cross-functional teams of software, hardware, and systems engineers. You'll ensure compliance with ISO26262 and ASPICE standards, delivering reliable solutions that meet the expectations of our Modern Luxury customers.   • Understand and coordinate activities between all stakeholders to deliver safety-related verification activities
  • Ensure common approach and common technical solutions where possible across all projects
  • Ensure that functional safety targets are met concerning the charging systems
  • Develop effective working relationships with electrical, chassis and software development teams to deliver against functional safety targets
  • Work with software teams to ensure the best and most efficient control system logic is applied to meet the functional safety requirements. Ensure that ISO26262 [Part 6]/[Parts 4&5] are satisfied
  • WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Develop and carry out functional safety testing for the HV control system
  • Lead functional safety test validation activities within the functional safety team
  • Ensure compliance with ISO26262 part 4/6 verification/validation clauses
  • Develop processes to deliver the validation activities and support others within the team adopting them
  • Review of control system requirements and design prior to release to ensure validation can be conducted
