Full Job Description

The Jaguar Land Rover Creative Organisation is evolving to a new way of working, which will enable the execution of our Reimagine strategy. The evolved organisation includes housing various creative hubs (Vehicle, Brand, Digital and Materiality Design) which are pivotal in our transition towards a Modern Luxury future and reflects the growing importance of design to the entire enterprise. The role will be to manage the delivery and coordination of scheduled and ad hoc quality audits, buy-offs to support all future protype builds for show, reveal and launch vehicles. This role will support the Creative and Business goal of improving product quality through Design leadership with a robust application of the quality management systems within Design and across all JLR sites. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Bring Launch Engineering expertise into the Creative Chapter, with a focus on Quality
  • Support Materiality, Interior and Exterior Designers to understand the implications of the material/process changes.
  • Working cross-functionally between Creative, Material Engineering, Product Engineering, Programme teams, PQ, Sustainability, Advanced Purchasing and Engineering CoCs to support development of new material technologies for commodity strategies.
  • Support production launch delivery vehicle builds, and development related to colour and material, including manufacturing process developments/maturation.
  • Support WCPA, Manufacturing's processes
  • Support outward-facing communication on behalf of the Creative Organisation

    Understanding and experience of design approach and processes. Proven record of accomplishment of collaborating with and working successfully between Materiality, Creative, Engineering, Research to drive implementation of new materials and evolve current material processes and Launch Quality
  • An individual with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
  • A good understanding of product and automotive design combined with good aesthetic judgement, colour vision and colour perception.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to and communicate at all levels
  • WCPA Audit Knowledge
