Band 7- Lead Midwife for Induction of Labour and Planned Caesarean Sections
37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the maternity team at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as our Lead Midwife for Induction of Labour and Planned Caesarean Sections
The post holder will ensure effective communication throughout the multidisciplinary team and support a positive safety culture. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

We are committed to equal opportunities and improving the working lives of our staff., This is a new role and as our lead midwife for Induction of Labour and Planned Caesarean Sections you will:
Lead coordination of Induction of Labour and Planned Caesarean Sections to maintain patient safety and flow through the service.
Ensure safe, efficient and effective service user flow, whilst ensuring optimal bed utilisation through co-ordination of admissions.
Plan, coordinate and facilitate induction of labour workshops for women, birthing people and their families.
Plan, coordinate and facilitate planned caesarean section workshops for women, birthing people and their families.
Support quality improvement work related to induction of labour and planned caesarean sections.
Work clinically supporting women and birthing people who have a planned admission.
The post holder will inspire confidence and innovation amongst our incredible workforce, who together, ensure the women/birthing people and staff are safe, cared for and listened too. They will work collaboratively with the clinical maternity teams, maternity managers, governance and education teams to provide seamless pathways of care and ensure a positive safety and team culture.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
