Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Midwife to contribute and develop the delivery of high quality, evidence-based midwifery care for women and birthing individuals requiring induction of their labour or who are booked for an elective caesarean section, i.e. 'planned care'.

You will be able to lead by example and empower staff in their personal and professional development through a positive and proactive approach to quality improvements.

The successful candidate will provide clinical and professional leadership to midwifery, nursing, and support workers, maximizing job satisfaction for the team and contribute specialist and advanced expertise to the provision of maternity services, ensuring high-caliber care and efficient use of resources.

The Sherwood Birthing Unit offers intrapartum facilities for all women, regardless of their dependency level. It is equipped to care for women with complex and high dependency needs and includes two obstetric operating theatres.

Thank you for your interest in this role.

Happy colleagues deliver better care. Our teams work in a supportive, inclusive environment, which nurtures wellbeing and has opportunities for development and progression. We do not just care for our patients, we also care for you.
