Full Job Description

Rochdale Elective Surgical Hub are looking to recruit a Lead Nurse to provide inspirational leadership, for an enthusiastic and responsive theatre team, to support delivery of excellent patient care.
Rochdale Theatres have achieved green TAAS status and are a GIRFT accredited hub, with a firm focus on staff and patient experience. We are extending our theatre footprint to include a new clean air theatre and we have two procedure rooms which serve our patient population, outside of the traditional theatre environment.
The successful applicant will be supported by an established band 7 team and a supportive senior leadership structure. You will have autonomy in your role, with clear goals and objectives to deliver projects at pace, and to ensure our organisation maintains quality and meets the national elective recovery requirements.
Well being is extremely important to our organisation and we support the SCARF programme. As Lead Nurse, well being of theatre staff should be embedded in your practice and have a place in everyday theatre culture., As Lead Nurse, you will be expected to deputise for your Assistant Director of Nursing at times and communicate directly with Divisional Directors when required. There is a Senior Manager on call commitment with this role.
You will have identified key performance indicators to achieve, such as;
+ Responsibility for overarching quality and safety standards in theatre
+ Provide leadership for a team of Band 7 theatre practitioners
+ Budget management
+ Staff development and education
+ Departmental recruitment and retention
+ Manage HR processes
+ Contribute to Cost Improvement programme
+ Risk management
