Full Job Description
Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist to support Occupational Therapists within the Adult and OPMH directorates for a 12 month fixed term / secondment period working 30 hours per week.
In this role you will have a unique opportunity to develop your career as a leader within the profession.
This is an exciting time for the Occupational Therapy profession within DPT community teams in rehabilitation and recovery, the establishment of Occupational Therapy operational management posts, and a growing organisational awareness of the power of the profession to deliver solutions to clinical and operational challenges.
In addition we are looking forward to the ongoing collaboration of the new clinical professions strategy and the Occupational Therapy strategic delivery plan., You will support the Head of Profession to implement a program of change and development for occupational therapy within the Trust. You will be responsible for leading and developing occupational therapists within our inpatient and community, in both the Adult and OPMH Directorates. You will have the opportunity to lead on key projects and contribute to the implementation of the OT Strategic Delivery Plan.
This role will also give you an opportunity to develop your strategic thinking and your leadership skills. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our established professional occupational therapy senior leadership team, with peers in the Secure and Specialist Directorates.
This opportunity is available for four days per week 0.4 WTE OPMH and 0.4 WTE Adult. Job share for either the Adult or OPMH lead role will also be considered, please state on the application your preference.
