Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated communications apprentice to join our busy communications team. You will support this award-winning team to effectively and creatively engage our internal and external audiences.

As a communications team, we are responsible for promoting and protecting the reputation of the Trust. We do this through providing strategic communications support to our executive and hospital management teams, proactive and responsive media, and stakeholder relations, engaging social and digital channels, creatively promoting our brand and inspiring internal communications.

The communications apprentice will work across the team to gain experience in media relations, public affairs, internal communications, digital communications, corporate communications and brand and design.

You will respond to enquiries over email and on the telephone using our WeCare values to deliver a high standard of customer service.

You will also establish and oversee efficient administrative and business systems to support the directorate so that we can deliver an efficient and professional communications service to the Trust.

A strong customer service attitude and collaborative approach is key., We are excited to be advertising for the role of Lead Occupational Therapist at St Bartholomew's hospital. This position has a key clinical leadership and management role, championing and driving initiatives within the Occupational Therapy profession. Clinically the post holder will support and manage OT's within the Barts Heart centre team and professionally support Barts Cancer Centre OT's, as well as building collaborative relationships across the MDT and external agencies. Their clinical work will support OT's to enable them to deliver diagnostic and clinical care to adult cardiac, respiratory and stroke patients, providing expert advice on complex clinical issues.

The role will support the head and deputy head of Therapies in setting the strategic direction for the department and deliver on its key objectives within the field of OT. These objectives are co-created with its workforce and other stakeholders, including our service users.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative clinician, with experience of quality improvement and staff management, to join our forward-thinking department of Dieticians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, exercise physiologists and support staff. You will benefit from a supportive multi-disciplinary team and be able to access a wide range of education and development opportunities to further develop your potential within the four pillars of clinical practice, research, education and leadership.
