Core CAMHS works across the City and South County providing intervention and review of young people with a range of mental health needs.
This role has been developed to support the emerging group programme the team will provide. The post holder will lead, with the support of the team manager, in the running of a range of therapeutic groups to meet the needs of the service, co-facilitating groups with clinicians from the team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who is keen to plan and run a varied therapeutic group programme.
There is a lot of scope for personal and professional development within the service supported by our leadership team and training and development lead., + Co-ordinate the delivery of high quality day service support for young people and their families, utilising knowledge and skills for interpretation, analysis of patients' needs and care planning.
+ Promote and conform to the Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Policy and Procedure for safeguarding children, and national guidelines.
+ Ensure effective joint working between agencies and professionals and effective information sharing to safeguard children and young people.
+ Have an understanding of, coordinate the delivery of and provide a range of interventions such as family work, solution focussed therapy, cognitive therapy, behavioural management, individual counselling and group work
+ Access supervision to support practice development.
+ Liaise with other professionals, offer consultation and joint working to provide early interventions in and prevention of mental health problems in young people.
+ Develop effective care pathways for children and young people.
+ Work within the Multi-Disciplinary pathway team to offer and access supervision and support to ensure good practice.
+ Practice and demonstrate knowledge that promotes child protection and the rights of the child.

As a practitioner, the post holder will work in partnership with the CAMHS leadership team, Medical Consultants and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest level of clinical practice in assessment, case management, care coordination and treatment.
You will be required to ensure that the best evidence-based care is given to children, young people and their families, within the resources available to the service.
There will be an emphasis upon working with complex presenting difficulties and multi-agency networks.
