Full Job Description

? Act as a Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services.? Deputise for the Team Leader and represent the team within the organisation and acrossinterface boundaries.? Work as an expert pharmacist for cancer services, contributing to advanced decision making.? In conjunction with the Team Leader, manage and implement services designed to improvethe pharmaceutical care to patients and extend the boundaries of clinical practice.? Identify and support the facilitation of CIPs within the relevant directorate and participate infinancial reporting and drug budget management.? Progress service improvement initiatives through multi-disciplinary working to ensure safeand timely provision of medicines.? To participate in clinical audit, research, risk management and clinical guideline development

The post holder will need to be flexible and organised, be able to align their values with those of the organisation, work well within a team and have a positive attitude., The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy challenging environment, be able to manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight deadlines. You will have good communication skills and be an enthusiastic educator. The ability to work autonomously and with a high level of accountability is essential. They should possess a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent andhave the relevant hospital pharmacy experience.

Experience of working and influencing in a multidisciplinary team and an independent prescribing qualification are essential.

The post holder will work to ensure the continuedprovision and development of high quality, comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to patients aswell as influence senior managers and clinicians within the Cancer Division. We will provide thesuccessful candidate with a comprehensive induction covering all aspects of Trust work, support fromsenior pharmacy staff and an environment to develop further.
