Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the largest Community Trusts in the country. The Medicines Management Team are looking for a dynamic Lead Pharmacist for Community Health Services to provide senior pharmacy input to our Hospital at Home service in Barnet and ensure compliance with medicines regulations. The post is part-time up to three days a week and could be taken up as a secondment opportunity. You will be involved with serviceplanning, quality improvement, management and clinical supervision of pharmacy professionals providing the service. The post holder will support the Chief Pharmacist to manage the work of the team, prioritise and identify future needs of the team and organisation and be a member of the senior management team, deputising for the Associate/Deputy Chief Pharmacist and Chief Pharmacist as required.

The post holder must have significant post registration experience with sound knowledge of clinical governance, and medicines management issues faced in both primary and secondary care. Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills are essential. Additionally, compassion, flexibility, excellent communication and time management skills will be key to the role and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders. A good understanding of the political environment to enable delivery of the team's and Trust's objectives is also required. The post will involve travelling between various sites Trustwide so will require flexibility as the organisation continues to grow.
