Full Job Description

This is a North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS) role, hosted by UCLH. We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual with the requisite knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise to join the North Central London IPMO (Integrated Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation) team. The North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS) is the collective of all NHS Provider organisations within NCL working together with the local councils, Integrated Care Board (ICB), Primary Care Networks, community pharmacies, care homes and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector to form a health and social care partnership. The NCL Medicines Optimisation Network (MON) supports the ICS in the safe, effective and economical use of medicines. Two principal cross-sector committees sit within the network; the Joint Formulary Committee (JFC) and Medicines Optimisation Board (MOB). JFC and MOB focus on promoting evidence-based medicine and providing the right care, at the right time and place, specifically related to medicines and/or pharmacy services, to help ensure best outcomes and use of resources in NCL. The NCL Shared Care Group coordinates the development of shared care guidelines and fact sheets to support the seamless transition of medicines at the interface.,

  • To lead the delivery of projects relating to medicines efficiency & pharmacy transformation, in particular those projects relating to the Provider System Efficiency Plan (SEP).
  • To support the Director, IPMO Programme Team, in managing the medicines SEP from idea to delivery, escalation and reporting processes from Board to operational teams, as well as the monitoring and reporting of key metrics.
  • To support the Director, IPMO Programme Team, and ICS Chief Pharmacist in leading pharmacy integration, as NCL establishes itself an Integrated Care System.
  • To support the NCL Medicines Optimisation Board (and its subcommittees), in delivering its vision; to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in NCL, through the best use of medicines and pharmacy.
