Are you an experienced pharmacist looking for a career change or your next challenge in an acute hospital trust?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our modern purpose-built facilities at Colchester Hospital. This key position will allow a committed and self-motivated Pharmacist to lead our Pharmacy services to Oncology and Haematology patients at Colchester hospital.
You will be based within the Collingwood Centre, and working flexibly, will be a fully established member of the multi-disciplinary team; you will be pivotal in developing our clinical services within the speciality as well as ensuring that the wider Pharmacy team are well led and motivated within their roles.
ESNEFT is about to embark on a full site wide implementation of the EPIC electronic patient record which includes electronic prescribing and administration and pharmacy stock control system replacement.
Our friendly pharmacy team are dedicated to nurturing, mentoring and developing our staff to reach their full potential. We provide pharmacy forums, tutorials and weekly ICS/ESNEFT delivered educational workshops. We support personal development plans, smart objective setting and opportunities for study.
In addition to our fully automated dispensaries, we host one of the NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service medicines advice sites and a Regional Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit (including a brand new Aseptic facility).
About our Pharmacy Service, To proactively lead the Oncology and Haematology clinical pharmacy team at Colchester hospital.
Provide highly specialised clinical pharmacy services to the Oncology & Haematology Clinical Delivery Group; this includes the Colchester site's Chemotherapy and Haematology suite, in-patient ward and out-patient clinics.
Proactively contribute to the cross-site ESNEFT Clinical Delivery Group agenda.
Lead the development of the clinical Oncology and Haematology pharmacy service at Colchester hospital; including delegating to each member of the team a specified tumour site to manage, develop and oversee.
Lead on and develop clinical guidelines and protocols for the use of medicines within the Oncology & Haematology Clinical Delivery Group speciality.
Contribute to the provision of the Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) preparation service by validating and final checking SACT prescriptions., Along with supporting you to achieve your career goals we offer a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) and access to a range of NHS discounts.
