Are you an experienced pharmacy technician with a passion for Medicines Optimisation? Join Somerset NHS Foundation Trust as a Lead Pharmacy Technician -- Medicines Optimisation, where you'll lead and manage Medicines Optimisation processes, ensuring compliance and supporting the development of pharmacy staff., The Lead Medicine Optimisation Technician principal role is responsible for leading and delivering a comprehensive Medicine Optimisation service across site. The poster holder will be responsible for line management, co-ordination and development of Medicine Optimisation Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.

The Lead Technician will respond innovatively and proactively to the changing demand on the service and will ensure that it is provided in a professional, safe, timely and efficient manner at all times. The post holder will lead on specific projects and audits related to Medicine Optimisation as set by the Clinical Pharmacy lead.

This role will also include Medicine reconciliation, assessment of patients own drugs, counselling patients about their medicine, discharge facilitation and ward and dispensary-based medication supply.
