Lead Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Safety

We are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking leader with a passion for patient safety and an inquiring mind to join the team to make Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust the safest place to take medicines. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated pharmacy technician who wants to be an integral part of the Medicines Safety Team and lead quality improvement projects. The post presents excellent opportunities to optimise all of your current expertise and to develop further leadership and specialist skills., Working closely with pharmacy, nursing and medical teams you will support the medicines governance workstreams and improve medicines safety across the trust. You will represent the Medicine Safety Team and provide specialist safety and quality guidance at departmental sub groups, to ensure high standards of governance are consistently practiced. Critical skills for this role are the ability to design, undertake and support delivery of required outcomes from audit and improvement projects. You will undertake investigations into medicines safety incidents and provide support for the multi-disciplinary team in risk management and a wide range of medication safety initiatives. This includes the delivery and development of educational resources. As a medicines safety champion you will promote the medicines safety agenda within the organisation and inspire others to embrace improvement.
