Full Job Description

We are looking for an excellent Design & Technology practioner to work collaboratively with the Leader of Design & Technology to develop colleagues in delivering outstanding lessons and develop the Design & Technology curriculum, raising academic achievement and ensuring all pupils make outstanding progress. You will:

  • Support the Leader of Design & Technology and to deputise when and where appropriate, and to act as Leader of department in their absence.
  • Actively contribute to help to raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the whole department and to help to monitor and support pupil progress.
  • Ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the department, in accordance with the aims of the academy and the curricular polices determined by the Governing body and Headteacher of the academy.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as a manager within the department and as a form tutor.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date information concerning the relevant curriculum area on the management information system.
