Lead Practitioner of Science

Pay Scale: LP3 - LP7

We are seeking an ambitious, highly motivated and innovative Lead Practitioner of Science to join our welcoming and high performing Science team. We believe all students have the right to develop their capabilities and skills to thrive in their studies and take them to the next level.

The science department achieves outstanding results year on year, which are above the national average. Triple Science and A-level are popular options across the school, we have excellent exam results at both GCSE and A Level. A good proportion of those students go on to study Science based degrees at university.

This post is ideal for candidates who have a sustained track record of successful performance as a Teacher of science, looking to have a impact on learning beyond their own classroom. Post holders will provide subject enhancement across the Science faculty and the school. We can offer a very good opportunity to develop your career within one of our most successful faculties working with a successful and very supportive team.

We place significant emphasis on working collegiately as a faculty to share our expertise and subsequently enhance the learning experience with our students. Every member of the staff is involved in a variety of professional learning programmes that take place across the academic year.

We would like the successful applicant to start January 2025.
