Full Job Description

  • Responsibility of the day-to-day management of the after school club, including supervision of children and staff.
  • To develop and implement after school club provision in line with current legislation and local initiatives.
  • To establish an appropriate play and learning environment.
  • To be responsible for the preparation of equipment and materials necessary for the relevant activity.
  • To comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection.
  • To work in partnership with parents / carers, school staff and other professionals.
  • To assist in the day to day administration, record keeping, ordering and purchasing of relevant stocks.
  • The contracted hours are 15 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday from 3.00pm until 6.00pm. However, flexible working arrangements will be considered.

    The Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Atherton are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed Lead Practitioner to lead and further develop our well established after school. The lead practitioner will be able to develop and manage high quality after school club provision for our children. The successful candidate will be required to hold an NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (e. g. teaching assistant qualification). You will be able to use your own initiative, with a good working knowledge of policies and procedures, to ensure children are safe at all times.

    Salary : Grade 5, £9,455 - £10,462 per annum. £12.80 - £14.16 per hour 15 hours per week, term time plus five weeks working 43.6 weeks per year
