Lead Product Manager

Overall Job Purpose: To work for the Head of IT & Digital Transformation leading the Digital Transformation Programme, shaping and implementing a product roadmap across Stonegate's various products. Building and mentoring a team of product owners, instilling best practice and shaping ways of working and product governance. Role Responsibilities:

• Define product vision across Stonegate's products building a roadmap and identifying growth opportunities
• Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the projects
• Facilitate workshops leading to the creation of detailed requirements on priority products
• Ensuring the team follow best practise in managing the full product lifecycle from stories through to UAT testing and sign off, and taking this responsibility on high profile products
• Ensure that the development team always has an adequate number of prepared tasks to work on and the product team is appropriately resourced
• Plan and prioritise product feature backlog and development for high profile products
• Oversee the assessment of value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories for high profile products
• Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities for high profile products
• Provide a point of escalation to mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Research and analyse market, the users, and the roadmap across all products
• Follow our competitors and the industry
• Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and latest trends
• Implement new ways of working for the product team to adjust to the shifting need in Stonegate for a larger Agile Product team
• Report on the product roadmap, deliverables, budget, risks and issues to feed into the overall IT & Digital Transformation Programme.
  
  Extensive experience in digital technology with a minimum of 3 years as a Lead Product Manager with line management responsibilities
• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
• Outstanding communication (both written and verbal), presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work towards deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to react to change and easily determine next steps without sacrificing the long-term vision.
• Creative thinker with a vision. Be curious about how things works and how it fits together then be able to translate and share that with others.
• Good technical understanding - you don't need to be able to code but you need to know enough to have healthy debates and challenge with developers and architects!
• Strong attention to details
• Enthusiastic, driven, self-motivating, people-oriented leader who leads by example and inspires trust and confidence.
• Experience in a hospitality or retail environment beneficial but not necessary
