Full Job Description
Dyfrig House works with Pobl's treatment services as well as local recovery services to support people on their journey to recovery and facilitate a positive move on into independent living and re-settling into the community. This is an exciting opportunity as no 2 days are the same and you would be part of a team that is fundamental in providing high quality support to all the people we support. As a Lead Project Worker you will lead each shift by managing the scheme, supporting the manager, support staff and our clients. You will:
- Support the manager & the project staff with the day to day running of the scheme, managing the scheme as required
- Provide a continuous and consistent approach to support for vulnerable adults, helping them make the transition into independent living and advising them on re-housing options
- Lead meetings and direct project staff in conjunction with the scheme manager
- Support to induct & train new staff members
- Liaise with Social Services, the Benefit Agency, Housing Department, Barod, CAB, Health and Safety and other agencies
- Supervise team members
- Provide support with budgeting and money management, including welfare benefits
- Provide support in a practical way with regards to education, training and employment and day to day living
We are looking for someone who will thrive on taking this challenge on and shape the delivery of the support at Dyfrig House. To be a great member of the team, you will have experience and a good understanding of housing related support and an awareness of issues faced by people at risk of homelessness. An understanding of welfare benefits is also desirable. You will need to be flexible to meet the needs of our service users, which may involve working outside of the general 9am-5pm rota.
Competitive salary of £29,834.00 FTE - Our service is 24/7 and this is a day and nights post based on a rolling rota. Which would involve day shifts and weekends, there may be an occasional requirement to cover wakeful nights.
