Full Job Description

The Lead Nurse role is key to the business ability to provide a high level of clinical standards. Approximately 95% of the role will be clinical, with 5% for administrative tasks.

We are ideally looking for 1-2 years' experience post RCVS registration. Previous line manager experience would also be beneficial, but we are open to supporting an RVN looking to take their first step into a leadership role.

The Lead Nurse will ensure that patients are managed as effectively as possible from a nursing perspective to support the profitability and further growth of the practice. Working enthusiastically with your team you will help maintain a happy, efficient working environment whilst providing outstanding patient and client care.

Key responsibilities

1.Work closely with the Lead Vet to meet objective set by the SLT

2.Work closely with the nursing team to implement Linnaeus/Mars objectives

3.Mentor and support nursing team to develop skills sets as per Linnaeus objectives.

4.Work with the Clinical Nursing Manager to ensure all new nurses entering the business are supported to complete their induction

5.Maintain and revise clinical standards at practice
