An exciting opportunity to be involved at the cutting edge of life sciences innovation in east London.
Barts Life Sciences is our programme for using research, innovation and technology to transform health and care services. This covers a broad range of activities from discovery science, product development and testing, and the adoption of new technology. Life sciences in Whitechapel is firmly based on the principles of partnership and collaboration, with patients, clinicians, a wide range of commercial and other academic partners, local government and the local community. These partnerships will be founded on a common ambition and desire to achieve significant health, economic and social benefit for the people of east London, the UK, and internationally., This role is for a talented senior data or computational scientist to lead the data science team at Barts Life Sciences, developing applications using AI and machine learning to create innovative health care products and services. Using the Barts Health real-world health data assets, the postholder will have access to technical expertise, data and computational power, knowledge and innovation to lead a range of innovative data science projects.
You will have a PhD in data science or related field and significant experience in developing and managing data science projects in health care.
