Full Job Description
Otis is seeking a New Equipment Lead Reviewer for tender Specification and Scope analysis to join our office-based Sales Support Team working on projects from pre-contract stage through to delivery. The Goals and objectives of this role are to analyze the operational and technical requirements of new tenders. The key outputs are to review and comment on Scope of Works (SoW) documents (Attendances, Installation methodology and tooling, etc.), Vertical transportation specifications (technical, product selection) and Programme requirements. The output is then the basis of estimation, programme and the final proposal and negotiation. The role is independently acting as the role of project manager pre-contract and is handing it over to the identified project manager at point of booking the project. The Lead role is the line manager of the other reviewers and is accountable to allocate and plan the work for team members. Ensure the quality of the output from the team on time according to the defined SLAs. The role will entail:
- Take accountability for relevant assigned projects and plan the workload across the team.
- Analyze scope and specifications and summarize the output for estimation and programme.
- Liaise with external customers, internal engineering team & factories.
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers/suppliers as and when required.
- Ensure quality and compliance to the Otis proposal and pre-contract negotiation regarding technical and operational offering.
- Commercial mindset understanding UK contracts and able to identify Value Engineering opportunities both in terms of product and field solutions.
- Attend project negotiation meetings through the various stages of the project.
- Provide guidance, assistance and training to Sales, Support teams and Operations (Scope and Spec clarifications, Traffic studies, General Queries).
- Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures.
- Ensuring that the three key absolutes of Safety, Ethics and Quality are maintained at all times.
Flexible attitude with the ability to respond quickly and appropriately changing work requirements. - Have a collaborative mindset and being a team player.
- Good communication skills, enjoys personal interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keen eye for detail. Must be able to independently solve problems and provide simple and effective solutions.
- People management skills.
- Must take initiative and control over assigned workload. The successful candidate will have experience within lift and escalator projects and ideally knowledge of Otis products. You will also be IT literate, possess good planning, problem solving and communication skills and an understanding of the importance of quality and delivering excellent customer service. To be successful in this role you will:
- Possess strong computer skills (Microsoft packages incl. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
- Technical / engineering degree desirable
- Have strong communication skills
- Be driven, ambitious, hardworking, methodical and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
