  • Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments and operational work related to ISA and Current Account Switching processes. Including Faster Payments, Internal movements, Cheque issuance and balance transfers
  • Review, input and, or authorise payments ensuring adherence to CASS and ISA guidance, customer requirements and internal policies
  • Perform comprehensive reconciliations of associated data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, exceptions, complaints (EODs) loss management and enquiries in a timely manner, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring
  • Provide guidance, support, and strong leadership to a team of Savings Tax and Switching specialists
  • Compliance, Quality Control & Risk Management
  • Monitor the accuracy and quality of processing activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, bank policies, and industry standards
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding and adherence to ISA (Individual Savings Account) and CASS (Current Account Switching) guidance and industry best practices Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanction regulations, and Data Protection Act
  • Process Improvement
  • Continuously evaluate processes, systems, and workflows to identify opportunities for streamlining, automation, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Savings Tax and Switching Operations Leader and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives that enhance operations and customer experience.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, strategy, and industry trends to identify innovative solutions and recommend their implementation to improve operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Build and maintain effective relationships and collaborate closely with these stakeholders to address processing related issues, provide guidance, and ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Savings Tax & Switching related processing, regulations, and industry trends
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting
  • Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Savings Tax & Switching Team and support Leaders to monitor performance against these metrics
  • Training and Documentation
  • Support Leaders to develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of the Savings Tax & Switching team

    Experience in an operational role, payment processing and/or related roles within the banking and financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of UK banking regulations and ISA and CASS schemes
  • Proficiency in using payment and processing platforms (CRM, T24)
  • Knowledge of ISA & Current Account Switching processing guidance, payment
  • schemes (Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS), and related industry standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
