Lead Solution Architect

Royal Mail Technology are actively seeking to recruit a Solutions Architect with the vision of creating a team of architects that will support the RMG Operations, Commercial or technology platforms. The Solution Architect will ensure all IT projects within their area are appropriately architected, adherent to best practice and RMG Standards, Principles and Policies.
The Solution Architect will report to the Director of Architecture and will work with other Solution Architects across the technology organisation and ensure that other RMG skillsets are called
upon in a timely manner to ensure Projects are engineered consistently regardless of supplier, technology or methodology used to deliver them.

Significant experience of leading teams of Solution Architects and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in systems delivery including analysis, design, implementation, testing and support.
- Mastery of defining the technical architecture design principles and planning, design and implementation of complex systems architectures.
- Proven experience of large scale digital transformation.
- Experience of working with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience of going through the transformation from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies

Qualifications

- Architecture training/qualifications e.g. TOGAF, Microsoft Azure certified, AWS certified etc.
- Agile training/qualifications or experience incl. Scrum & Kanban
