Lead Specialist TA

Woodbridge Park is on a journey to outstanding and we need outstanding people to join us. We are a multi-site Alternative Provision for children and young people with complex needs and we provide a vital service to the families and schools of Hounslow. As our service provision continues to expand to meet emerging needs, we are now looking to grow our team of experienced Teaching Assistants to add value across our various centres. We need kind-hearted, compassionate people who want to commit to changing lives for the better.

We can offer a varied professional experience, thanks to our many diverse sites - no two days are the same. We can also offer outstanding professional development with a dedicated training programme and planned investment in staff development. We place a high regard and focus on staff wellbeing having recently been awarded the NEU Workload Charter Status and we offer all staff six early finish days per school year to support their wellbeing.

We are looking for a Lead Specialist Teaching Assistant with a range of skills, in particular to promote and develop the literacy levels of all students and to work individually with targeted students with weak literacy skills and assess and monitor progress in literacy, maintaining databases and implementing various programmes.

The post is 5 days per week, term time only and 32.5 hours per week on a two year contract. The salary scale is S02 Points 26 - 28 (£29,332 - £30,758 gross pa). Previous experience is essential of working with students in a supporting role. Candidates will have strong behaviour management skills and ASD experience and current certificates or a willingness to train in Team Teach and First Aid.

Candidates will be able to inspire and motivate our students to get the very best meaningful outcomes and show a commitment to raising the achievement levels and self-esteem of disaffected young people
