Full Job Description

We design, develop and manufacture the highest quality, most accurate and reliable customised pressure sensing devices and instruments. We develop software to provide innovative products, services and solutions to our customers. Partner with the best The Lead Supplier Quality Engineer will collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Site Quality Team and Global Sourcing team on all activity required to effectively manage supplier quality requirements & supplier development. As a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Being the focal point for supplier quality related activities for the supplier base supporting the Druck Business, with on issue resolution (CA/PA), supplier's approval, qualifications, development, process control, and quality assurance consistent with Druck and Baker Hughes flowdown.
  • Driving continuous improvement of supplier's quality performance through Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
  • Monitoring and drive for Cost of Failure/ Quality (COF / COQ) reduction within the business and
  • working with the Sourcing/Commercial teams costs associated with rejects/defects to potentially drive any Cost of Recovery (COR) activities.
  • Driving suppliers to understand and work within the Zero Defects journey.
  • Monitoring suppliers' non-conforming performance via monthly PPM/ trends, and identify and drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions CTQ.
  • Providing technical guidance to suppliers towards assuring product/process compliance with
  • engineering drawings, customer requirements and specifications.
  • Working closely with Sourcing Specialists, Business Teams, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality requirements.
  • Ensuring an open line of communication is maintained with the supplier to drive a quick resolution using clear objectives and driving an open relationship with the supplier.
  • Driving the business needs ongoing controls to all working standard to include processing and manufacturing capability along with Environmental requirements (ISO9001/AS9100/ ISO14001).

    Have an Engineering qualification from an accredited establishment or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Have proven experience in Engineering with an Electronics/ Machining/ Fabrication background
  • Have previous SQE Experience with a driven focus on supplier development
  • Demonstrate project management skills
  • Be fluent in English, hold a UK work permit and not require future sponsorship

  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Have the ability to work in cross functional team environment
  • Be highly self-motivated, results/metrics driven with demonstrated influencing skills
  • Have knowledge of quality and environmental tools and statistical analysis in ISO9001/AS9100/ISO14001 QMS requirements and applications preferably in Oil & Gas/ Energy Industry/ Aerospace business
  • Be Lead Auditor accredited through a recognised accreditation body is advantageous
