We look forward to hearing from you., We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and motivated Lead teacher OPPORTUNITY: to join our strong English team. As an outstanding classroom practitioner in all Key Stages the Lead Teacher will work with colleagues to improve and secure pupil outcomes, primarily via the development of the quality of teaching and learning through coaching and mentoring of colleagues and trainee teachers across the school. In addition, to play a major role supporting the leaders of teaching and learning in developing the strategic direction for T&L and to work with teachers across the school in collaborative planning, curriculum development and assessment, planning and moderation. REPORTING TO: Subject Leader, Leadership

  • High quality coaching and mentoring of colleagues to ensure that all teachers and
  • trainee teachers are at least good.
  • A commitment to and interest in research to promote subject knowledge and the
  • pedagogy of teaching. The identification of best practice nationally in both areas and sharing with colleagues.
  • The development of the teaching and learning across the school, its long-term strategic
  • planning and effective day-to-day delivery.
  • Supporting curriculum development and planning in all key stages linked to an excellent
  • grasp of external assessment and standards, and a vision to develop deep learning that prepares students for their next step in learning.
  • The development of assessments and assessment practice so that students know how

  • Supporting and modelling moderation and standardization of assessment so that
