Full Job Description

Create impactful data visualisations to drive positive change and simplify complex data. Deliver a data and digital assurance reporting service, providing customer-focused reports to regional functions. Engage with customers from front-line staff to senior leaders, supporting enhanced data analysis and decision-making, and ensuring efficient and consistent data control across the organisation. Be prepared to work occasional night shifts to understand front-line operations and deliver meaningful visualisations.About the role (External) Your Main Responsibilities will be to: 1. Manage the delivery and support of the Regional Data and Digital service and its outputs, collaborating with the local lead product owner and data owners to improve analysis and decision support for customers across the Region. 2. Own the Regions Data and Digital reporting catalogue, utilising national products (provided by the Group BI Service) where appropriate driving the use of standardised enterprise data, visualisations and metrics so that reliable self-service data platform is consistent and efficient across the Region. 3. Develop, test and own the regional assurance methodology for data and digital outputs from within the region and from national teams (including GBIS), so customers can verify outputs to benefit a wider range of customers across Network Rail, 4. Provide specialist advice and guidance on Decision Support Tools and Business Intelligence to Network Rail teams, increasing overall capability and effectiveness of data and digital use across the Region. 5. Manage the impact of delivering visualisation activity on current resources and work closely with the Business Improvement Managers, so that Visualisation Authors meet delivery requirements and customer expectations. 6. Produce and maintain best practice guides, updating data and visualisation standards, so that outputs and the use of reporting tools are consistent across the Region and reported to wider Network Rail. 7. Identify and implement new visualisation techniques and capabilities for customers, including more advanced analytics and modelling, to drive deeper insights from across the business. 8. Identify and escalate business and safety risks, through visualisations, so that business area customers can mitigate and manage risks effectively. 9. Produce data quality guidance, engaging with the GBIS Lead Visualisation Author for national products, plus Data Owners and Quality Managers on local products, to continuously improve data compliance and accuracy across the Region., Diversity and inclusion are more than just buzz words for us. · Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrable experience · Extensive demonstrable experience, in multiple Microsoft Power Platform Toolsets such as MS Power BI and Power Applications · Successful proven experience using waterfall and agile methodologies · Demonstrable knowledge of business analysis and identifying, developing and delivering technical solutions from problem statements · Proven ability to interface with technical and business communities at strategic and detail level · Demonstrable strong communication skills; verbal, written and presentation · Demonstrable strong analytical and numerical skills · Demonstrable knowledge of data modelling / architecture What could set you apart
